According to a new report by S&P/Case-Shiller, house prices around the nation, including Ladera Ranch, fell a record 14.1 percent compared to the first quarter of 2007.

Reasons sited in the report include low consumer confidence around the nation, steep gasoline prices, and over stock of new homes.
